Hi, I’m Kate Tyrrell.

For the past seven years, I’ve worked across the EV industry helping ambitious teams turn good ideas into real-world progress. I’m an optimistic problem-solver at heart, with experience spanning marketing, communication, leadership, and strategy in one of the fastest-moving sectors there is.

I’m a multi-award-winning founder, recognised in the GreenFleet 100 as one of the most influential voices in electric mobility and as a Top Woman in EV. Those acknowledgements matter, but what drives me more is the work behind them - shaping how electric mobility actually works for people, not just how it looks on paper.

I care deeply about creating a better planet for future generations, and I use my experience within the industry to influence the design and delivery of public and private charging infrastructure, vehicle user experience, supporting software, and the service ecosystems that sit around EV drivers. From safety and accessibility to usability and trust, I focus on the human realities that will determine whether mass adoption truly succeeds.

I founded NorthStar Studio to support EV leaders navigating growth and complexity with clarity, honesty, and integrity. Too often, good thinking gets lost in noise or overcomplication. My role is to bring focus, challenge assumptions, and help leaders make confident decisions that stand up in the real world.
